Opening hours at the Obelisco Buenos Aires

The Obelisco is open every day of the week from 9am to 5pm. The only time it will remain closed is during adverse weather or in the event of a large public gathering due to a celebration or protest.

With timed entry tickets, you encounter little to no waiting time in the ticket queue. However, you will need to account for about 10-20 minutes of waiting for the security screening and for the elevator.

You can complete a tour of the Obelisco in about 20-30 minutes. This includes the elevator ride and the climb up the stairs to the top. With the venue limiting crowds with designated time slots for every individual or group, you won’t have to push through large crowds to get a good view, saving you plenty of time.

You should aim to book an evening slot as this is when you’ll get to witness the Buenos Aires skyline amidst the backdrop of the setting sun. However, the evening slots are the first to sell out, particularly on weekends, so make sure to book your tickets at least 3-4 days in advance.
